Scams!!! Please Don't be a victim..

If you notice something that looks suspicious, nine times out of ten it is. They are'nt always easy to spot. 99% of the time, if someone wants money from you BEFORE the will give you all the details of what the Worh-at-home opportunity is, it is most likely a scam.

The two most recent I have seen asked for $7 or $10 to paypal to get you your internet advertising materials. Turns out all you are supposed to do is turn around and do the same thing. Cut and paste from a list of ads asking for money for training and get others to do the same. This is treading on the line of legality.

Please try to have a open mind when looking at an opportunity and just do your homework. Give people here the chance to share what they have with you.

Many wonderful opportunities are advertised do have start up costs. However, these companies are first giving you all the details and allowing you to ask questions and do research first. The start up fees are usually low and you do usually get something in return for those fees.

Scams don't want to take any of your time to explain things, and they only ask for a small amount of money from each person, so you won't think anything of it.

Please don't become a victim. I have fallen prey several times.

Work AT Home vs. Home BASED

If you've been looking for any length of time on the internet for a work at home opportunity, I thought you might like to be able to weigh the differences between...
Work AT Home vs. Home BASED

There's nothing wrong with either one...you just have to decide which one is best for you. I've been involved with several businesses in my lifetime, and am going off of my own experiences over the last 10 years.
THIS IS NOT A COMPLETE LIST OF DIFFERENCES OR SIMILARITIES. I'M SURE I'VE MISSED SOME THINGS. BUT THESE THINGS COME TO MIND AND SHOULD HELP PEOPLE DETERMINE WHICH IS BEST FOR THEM. DO I THINK ONE IS BETTER THAN THE OTHER? YES...BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN I EXPECT EVERYONE ELSE TO THINK LIKE I DO.

Home-based businesses tend to force you out of the home to sell and deliver products, or "do a show." If you like that, great!

WAH(Work-At-Home) businesses allow you to actually build income without leaving your home.

Home-based businesses usually encourage you to retail product, meaning you actually earn the difference between what you paid for the product and what you sold it for...profit. You're job is to convince others that they need what you're selling.

WAH businesses may include retail sales, but not necessarily. Otherwise, you really aren't getting to "work from home." lol; They can offer services and products that others want, but a good business will offer things that people need and want...exclusive things that others feel they "just can't do without," and can't find anywhere else. They'll answer a need in the life of your family. And a good WAH will have a guarantee on the products, too.The income earned can be commission based without the leg-work of doing sales. And, when you don't sell inventory, you earn residual income, meaning you do a onetime presentation and get paid month after month for doing it one time. This allows you to increase your income without having to increase your work hours.

Home-based businesses usually include an investment. You buy "the kit" which can be anywhere from hundreds to thousands of dollars, and you also buying your inventory, with the intention of selling it.

WAH businesses may include a start up cost, but not always. Many of them are consumer direct marketing companies so no inventory needs to be purchased. The "start up" is likely to be a membership fee...like a Sam's Club or a Costco. And, in the case of my business, it's money back guaranteed...most HBB kits are not money back guaranteed...because,, in most cases, that sale is what pays the distributor who recruits you.

Home-based businesses reward their dealers, consultants or distributors for going out and making repeat sales and recruiting other dealers, consultants or distributors. They may pay you in tiers, so the more you sell or the more you recruit, the more of a bonus you'd receive.

WAH Businesses may do the same, but in some cases, you are encouraged to be "a team player," helping others to make money using marketing strategies and "lead generation" programs. You advertise your product, service or business, and then others who are looking come to YOU.

Hopefully, it's easy to duplicate and may even come with free support and training, b/c the company rewards your mentor or support person for helping others reach their goals.
